Young, Casual, Chic: Street-Style Brights

When I think about street style, I think the color black. I tend to associate street style with my all-black outfits topped off with a pair of booties. But in light of the warm weather, I have delved into brighter colors- and I did not hold back. I tend to stick within color families with my outfits while playing with different fabrics. Here, I paired a luxurious silk blouse with a sporty patterned skirt. I also added more vibrancy to the outfit by breaking up the pink with a pair of bright blue Superga sneakers (see below). I recently bought these on the recommendation of my sister, Christine. Apparently, these sneakers are all the rage on the East Coast. Or as she told me, "Everybody has a pair." Clearly this is an exaggeration, but you get the point. These are my first pair of sneakers EVER and have been a wonderful alternative to my beat-up Rainbows for everyday wear. I cannot say much for sneakers as a whole, but I highly recommend Supergas to anyone looking for an affordable yet on-trend pair of shoes to add to her collection.
